Notes

We have a block of guest rooms at the Walnut Creek Marriott for three different prices levels on a first come, first serve basis.

For California State Employees you can reserve a room for $90. To receive this discounted rate, you will have to show your state employment ID when checking in.

We also have rooms available for $145.00, while supplies last. Once these rooms are booked, the price increases to $185.00.

Tech Transfer does not guarantee a discounted rate or availability on sleeping rooms. We also cannot make reservation for event participants at any time. The sleeping room block is offered as a courtesy from the hotel and not included in the conference tuition.

Conference Description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in partnership with the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) at University of California, Berkeley present the: 2017 California Transportation Planning Conference, Partnering for Sustainable Transportation: Meeting the Challenge Now and Into the Future.

This three-day conference will provide attendees the opportunity to interact with transportation practitioners and decision-makers, exchange ideas and learn about emerging technologies and advancements in transportation planning from national, state, and local experts. The conference will focus on themes around sustainability and how we can partner to meet the challenges facing us now and into the future as required by California legislation and influenced by funding constraints.

Location

This conference will be held at the Walnut Creek Marriott; located at 2355 North Main Street, Walnut Creek CA. The opening plenary session will be held in the California Ballroom, on the lower level of the hotel. Subsequent breakout sessions will be held in the California Ballroom, the Santa Rosa and Sacramento rooms of the Walnut Creek Marriott.

Who Should Attend

This conference is open to all. We want to especially extend an invitation to those associated with Caltrans (employees, partners, affiliates) as well as those involved in the development and planning of transportation around the state of California.
